As members of Chapter 1, you are still counted as a member of this Association and are still able to receive your union benefits. The more members we have, the more strength this Association will have in our fights to protect and improve retiree and active member benefits.

Joining is a good way to keep involved with each other and the active employees. Together we participate on committees, volunteer, and attend legislative hearings to represent retirees.

MEMBERSHIP AUTHORIZATION: Yes! I want to join with my fellow retirees and become a member of SEA/SEIU Local 1984 (“SEA”) Chapter 1. I hereby request and voluntarily accept membership in SEA and I agree to abide by its Constitution and Bylaws and by the Service Employees International Union Constitution and Bylaws. By signing this card, I certify that I retired from State service as a member in good standing of the SEA. I also certify that dues in the amount of $6 are due annually to the Association and it is my responsibility to provide said payment to the Association.
