We’re seeking delegates to SEIU International Convention

SEA/SEIU Local 1984 is seeking delegates for the SEIU International Quadrennial Convention is set for April 22-27 in Chicago.

The filing period is now open for self-nominations. In order to be considered for election to one of the 12 delegate positions, you must have been an SEA member in good standing for two years. The deadline to submit a self-nomination form is Friday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m, which has now passed.

Executive Branch members are contractually allowed up to five days of leave time to attend this convention. Members in other bargaining units should check their contract or contact their field representative for information on applicable leave time.

If selected as a delegate, the SEA will pay for airfare, lodging and meals.

Please note that at the bottom of the Ballot there is a place for you to insert your name, chapter number, and telephone.  This is not necessary.  However, please place your name & chapter number on the outside of the blue envelope or your ballot may be excluded.
