Read candidates’ responses to our questions
Ahead of our annual convention, we reached out to presidential campaigns seeking response on questions developed by our Political Education Committee. You can find video greetings that campaigns sent and read responses to the questions on our website.
We hope that by providing each candidate’s responses to the set of questions that Poli-Ed devised, it will serve as a springboard for a fruitful discussion with the candidate.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Upcoming SEA/SEIU Local 1984 events
End 68 Hours Of Hunger: Through the end of this month, SEA/SEIU Local 1984 and the New Hampshire Liquor Commission are teaming up to benefit End 68 Hours of Hunger. You can drop off food and financial donations at liquor outlets throughout the state to help fight childhood hunger. End 68 Hours of Hunger works to fill the 68-hour gap between school lunch on Friday and breakfast on Monday by providing bags of non-perishable food to these children. This partnership came about thanks to those members at the Liquor Commission working with the SEA’s Campaign for Public Good and Liquor Commission leadership. In addition to financial contributions, we are specifically seeking the following items for this drive: Peanut butter (plastic, 10-18 oz. jars); Canned tuna (5 oz. cans); Canned fruit (14-16 oz. cans); and Canned soup (15-19 oz. cans).
Screening of “Intelligent Lives”: From award-winning filmmaker Dan Habib comes Intelligent Lives, a catalyst to transform the label of intellectual disability from a life sentence of isolation into a life of possibility for the most systematically segregated people in America. The film at Sweeney Hall at NHTI on Wednesday, Oct 30 at 6 p.m. You can RSVP here. Academy Award-winning actor and narrator Chris Cooper contextualizes the lives of these central characters through the emotional personal story of his son Jesse, as the film unpacks the shameful and ongoing track record of intelligence testing in the U.S. This event is co-sponsored by the Southern NH Area Health Education Center and the NH Office of Health Equity in collaboration with NHTI-Concord’s Community College. For questions please call the Office of Health Equity at 603-271-3986.
