Chapter 45 member Mary Fields takes the oath of office, after she was elected to the SEA/SEIU Local 1984 Board of Directors.
After two ballots, Chapter 45 member Mary Fields was elected to the SEA/SEIU Local 1984 Board of Directors at the First Quarterly Council Meeting on Dec. 11.
Fields is a steward at Health and Human Services, and is the vice president and a councilor in Chapter 45. She was elected to fill the remainder of a three-year term that opened up when Tammy Clark was elevated to Second Vice President. Fields was sworn in at the meeting by SEA/SEIU Local 1984 General Counsel Mike Reynolds.
While the election was the major business of the night, councilors heard about member action in Belknap County, the coming legislative session and engaged in lively give and take discussion.
