In order to be eligible to vote or to hold office in Chapter Elections, a person must be a Member (in good standing), deadlines apply according to year, and new chapters forming follow slightly different regulations. In the event there are elections being held, Self-Nomination Forms must be received at the SEA by 5:00 PM on February 8, 2023, the final day. If you wish to run for a Chapter seat and miss the deadline, you may still run by contacting your Nominating Committee Chair with the seat of interest.
Chapters will elect the following:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer (or a combined Secretary/Treasurer position)
- Councilors and Alternate Councilors.

If your Chapter voted to have a two-year election cycle but has not changed your Chapter’s by-laws through the required procedure, you must hold your elections annually until those changes are complete. Failure to hold chapter elections could result in not being seated at the Annual Convention.
