Bargaining Update – Oct. 29, 2019

Good afternoon,

Members of our bargaining team had a preliminary meeting on Oct. 23 with the neutral fact-finder, and we anticipate that the fact-finding report will be released to the involved parties on Nov. 12. That begins a 10-day window when the report is kept confidential to allow parties an opportunity to work out an agreement.

We have tentatively scheduled a meeting of the Bargaining Senate for Tuesday, Dec. 3, to either review a tentative agreement (if we’ve reached one) or to review the fact-finder’s report. The precise location and time of this meeting have yet to be determined, but please reserve that evening if you’re a member of the Bargaining Senate.

Sub-unit tentative agreements ratified

While the master bargaining team prepares for the release of the fact-finder’s report, sub-unit teams continue to work. The following sub-units have ratified tentative agreements:

  • Department of Health and Human Services

  • Division of Juvenile Justice Services

  • New Hampshire Employment Security

  • Department of Corrections supervisors and officers

  • Department of Corrections line staff

  • Adjutant General’s Office

  • New Hampshire State Liquor Commission

Congratulations to these sub-units.  We are in the process of drawing up contract signing documents.
