Our Executive Branch bargaining team has a preliminary meeting on Oct. 23 with the independent fact-finder. As you may recall, our team made its presentation to the fact-finder in early August, after months of preparation.
The release date for the fact-finder’s report is not set yet, so the timeline remains fairly fluid. One thing that is set is when the report is released, it will remain confidential for 10 days. This window is an opportunity for the state and unions to negotiate an agreement. This process is spelled out in the state’s Public Employee Labor Relations Law.
