Good afternoon,
On Tuesday evening, the Master Bargaining Team held an informational meeting to discuss the fact-finder’s report. Members will be asked to vote by mail on whether to accept or reject the fact-finder’s report. President Rich Gulla has released a brief video message that addresses the governor’s email last night and encourages members to vote YES on the report. We encourage you to watch it. If you weren’t able to attend Tuesday’s meeting, here are important notes to know:
Details of the report: The bargaining team explained what the fact-finder’s report means, and how it would impact workers. You can find the slides from Tuesday’s presentation, as well as a summary handout on our website. Bottom line: The fact-finder recommended increasing wages more than 4% over a span of two years, with 2.86% for fiscal year 2020 and 1.16% for fiscal year 2021.
Key dates: As noted, members will be asked to vote by mail. Here’s the timeline:

- Dec. 13: ballots will be sent to members.
- Jan. 3: Ballots are due back at the SEA.
