Bargaining Update – Dec. 11, 2019

Good afternoon,

The Master Bargaining Team spent the day on Tuesday preparing voting packets for mailing, including your ballot and a summary sheet, for the fact-finder’s report. Please take the time to read the summary sheet and return your ballot as soon as possible. With the busy holiday season approaching, it’s all too easy to forget to send something in the mail – don’t delay, send your ballot right away.

As President Rich Gulla previewed in his email to members last week, the SEA has filed an unfair labor practice charge with the NH Labor Board against the state over Gov. Chris Sununu’s attempt to circumvent collective bargaining law. It’s bad enough that the governor disrespects state employees – it’s another when he tries to game the system in order to get his way.

If you were not able to attend the bargaining informational meeting last week, there will be an update at the Council meeting this Thursday, Dec. 12, at the SEA office. Registration for that meeting begins at 6 p.m.; the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served beforehand beginning at 5:30 p.m.
